As Technical Service & Development for Olin Epoxy Asia Pacific team, the incumbent will work closely with marketing and sales to provide technical services for the epoxy customers, mainly in wind energy and composite application area. The services include addressing the customers' inquiries, resolving product and processing problems and issues in the wind mill blade and composite manufacturing process, including infusion, adhesive, filament winding, prepreg applications, etc.  In addition, the TSD engineer needs to work together with Research and Development team to optimize and develop new technologies and new products to fulfill the needs and requirements from customers.

  

 

  

Primary Responsibilities:

  

• Lives the safety standards, code of conduct and ethics principles of Olin.

• Provides direct technical support at customers in the wind energy and composite value chain.

• Ensures technical service work being carried out using the highest standards using the Scientific method.

• Designs, develops and implements new solutions for existing and new applications.

• Understands customers’ needs, capabilities and strategies to enable new business for Olin.

• Interfaces with Marketing to implement optimum product positioning at customers.

• Writes internal and external technical papers and represents Olin at the relevant external conferences and exhibitions.

              

 

  

Qualifications:  

  

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science

• 5 years of experience in epoxy industry are required, wind energy related industry experience is preferred

• Able to build key external industry relationships and develop understanding on critical performance requirements

• Customer orientation attitude

• Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with people from different backgrounds

• Good team player

• Flexibility to travel within China region up to 40%

• Fluent in both written and oral English
