Job Objective:

  Responsible for driving profitable revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and expanding share in assigned distributor and enterprise accounts by developing and implementing strategic account management, demand creation capabilities, contributing to the long-term strategic direction of the Industrial Distribution Sales while meeting/exceeding sales volume growth objectives set forth for the business unit.


  

Essential Job Functions:

  

  • Utilizes business acumen in order to understand the customer's business for each of the assigned accounts, provides industry input in order to develop the Velcro Companies value proposition.
  • Leads the development of each assigned Strategic Account plan and strategy, coordinating with the appropriate Key Account, Business Development and Inside Sales, operational support, executive sponsor, and knowledge experts utilizing established account strategy process, including the standard account planning templates and tools. The plan should describe all actions required to expand Velcro Companies presence within the customer's portfolio by selling additional scope of products and services.
  • Establishes and develops strong partnering relationships with the customer's executive management team and other customer decision-makers, engaging Velcro Companies executive management team with customer when and where appropriate.
  • Managing/organizing day-to-day direction of key account team’s activities to ensure proactive and seamless pursuit of business with assigned accounts, including development and implementation of qualitative and quantitative metrics for achieving account success.
  • Actively oversee the preparation of proposals for new business opportunities (RFQ and transformational deals) with the customer and manage the team through the sales cycle to achieve targeted financial objectives for the regional Business Unit.
  • Negotiate contracts and quotations with the customer on behalf of Velcro China. with the support of BU Management and legal teams. Disseminate accordingly to the organization.
  • Assist in managing customer relationship on a global basis as required and take on the responsibility of being the key escalation point for all customer issues.
  • Work with the broader Velcro Companies organization to ensure appropriate resources and capabilities are made available to support customer level account strategies and execution plans, while driving customer satisfaction through proactively acting as the customer advocate with the Velcro Company, ensuring customer’s expectations are clearly defined, understood and clearly communicated.
  • Facilitate enhancements to communications, tools, capabilities and product lines, tracking all opportunities with each assigned account using the Company-wide CRM systems, qualifying all opportunities using the Velcro Companies sales and demand creation processes.

  

  

  • Chair and lead cross-functional teams that establish marketing campaigns, demand creation initiatives, trade shows, product direction and productive solutions. Develop and nurture strong relationships with customer contacts and industry influencers.

  Monitor competitor products, sales, pricing and marketing activities. 



  

Job Qualifications:

  

  • Bachelor's degree (business, sales, marketing or equivalent); MBA preferred
  • 7-10 years of progressive responsibility in strategic sales and sales management to large Industrial OEM and MRO customers with a proven track record and demonstrated ability of providing key account management to large organizations with matrix environments

  

  • Expertise with the China Industrial and Construction vertical markets, including developing channels to market, customer acquisition, strategies to influence and command mind share of key customer sales organizations and end users, as well as developing the internal organizational structure needed to support the strategic business unit sales and strategic initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior level management, executives and key opinion leaders within customer’ organization along with a demonstrated ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics, products and solution capabilities with key stakeholders and business leaders within the Velcro Companies

    

  • Proven experience as a business executive with sound financial acumen and management skills along with experience managing metrics-oriented performance objectives
  • Demonstrated experience in building and managing a team of business development and account management resources
  • Great attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills
  • Superior communication skills (written and oral).
  • Experience with CRM programs (SF.com, Oracle on Demand), SAP/Oracle ERP systems and strong proficiency in Windows operating system

  

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Development, Engineering, Program Management, Materials, etc. and work in a complex, matrix organization

  Able to travel approximately 40%.
