Collaborate with Global Director to develop a concise regional business plan that entails vision, strategic objectives, tactical roadmap and any other fundamental keys to success in alignment with Global SBU strategy.
Support business development (BDM) opportunities and work with regional Presidents/Sponsors to plan appropriate support for short term and long term objectives including capacity requirements, sales & marketing needs, technical support, all other related functions specific to the region.
Responsible for providing the internal voice and insight for the regional market (buyer, customer, user) and collaborating with required support functions and the GBU Director to develop business cases and support future growth / development.
Work with Regional Sales team and customers to define regional requirements to meet needs of existing and emerging markets and provide input to Global SBU & Corporate strategy.
Collaborate with the global brand team to provide specific regional SBU requirements and identify opportunities for adjacent or supporting markets. Develop / provide input and execute business plans to optimize related new product opportunities.
In coordination with global brand team, oversee all internal and external communications directly related to the business unit within the region.
Implement a regional strategy deployment matrix & assist with definition of the performance management plan to ensure alignment and execution of stated global initiatives tied to corporate level deliverables.
Collaborate with regional support groups to produce sales forecast & budget figures providing insight and recommendations to the GBU Director for submission of regional budgets and global long term plan.
Oversee and coordinate execution of regional SBU sales and expense budgets
Accountability to regional SBU P&L including all aspects of costs, rebates, returns, freight, sales, advertising, and marketing spend, etc.
Report regional SBU status to GBU Director and regional Senior Management regularly. Ensure alignment with regional strategies. Drive RCCM process in case of negative deviation to budget.
Oversee regional pricing strategy, ensuring alignment and co-ordination with global strategy
Work closely with other support groups (Ops, Eng, Fi***ce, MIS, SC etc) to ensure support and alignment to the SBU strategy.
Requirments:
Minimum Required:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 5 – 10 years of product / market management or similar experience.
Excellent communication, analytical and fi***cial skills.
Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a staff.
Ability to think critically and creatively and to contribute in a team e***ironment.
Proven success managing current and new product portfolios.
Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to use the internal and external tools to gather and interpret data.
Bi-lingual (local first language plus oral and written proficiency in English)
Desired:
Automotive specific experience of 5 plus years at the Tier 2 level or above or supplying Tier 1
Engineering related education or experience
Industry related skills (Quality Systems, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, 6 sigma or statistical experience/exposure)
