Roles & Responsibilities
? Align strategic design objectives between customers and Kimball to meet relevant quality requirements in manufacturing processes.
? Develops excellent working relationship with customers and peers.
? Conducts reviews of relevant industry standards and determines steps necessary to achieve them.
? Able to translate design requirements into manufacturable product by developing and implementing repeatable processes producing 100% on time defect free results.
? Able to apply concepts such as DFA/DFM, Lean Manufacturing and DFT.
? Capable of setting up processes that include a variety of materials including wood, metal, plastic and glass.
? Understands the capabilities of all machinery and equipment. Prepares cost justification on machinery and utilization strategy. Responsible for the preventative maintenance of such machines.
? Knowledgeable of all competitive challenges within a program
? Develops, communicates, and participates in implementing manufacturing process strategies
? Must be very knowledgeable of manufacturing processes, both Kimball and customer
? Able to balance customer and company needs.

Skills to perform this role

Work/Educational Requirements
? BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
? 3-5 yr relevant experience in contract manufacturing .
? Bi-lingual (Chinese and English) preferred
