Job Dimensions
The SSC FA accountant is responsible for fixed asset settlement, any update during the life cycle of fixed asset and fixed asset closing.
Major activities and accountabilities
-Validate project status, make sure that all data has been correctly informed by the engineering department especially for the material details
-Maintain regular communication with Site Controller & project manager in order to make sure fixed assets are settled timely when the project is completed
-Create the master file for the asset and capture all technical information and settlement rules pertaining to the asset and translate it in accounting entries
-Process with the fixed asset settlement in order to launch its life cycle
-Process the fixed asset depreciation posting
-Manage accounting entries related to fixed asset disposal, retire and sale of fixed asset
-Change asset data condition, for instance depreciation method, location, cost center etc.
-Perform cost capitalization and transfer FA between business areas
-Perform and control FA Closing
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
-Bachelor degree or above major in accounting, at least three years working experience of fixed assets processing
-Finance and Accounting knowledge
-Good read and written English
-Able to handle confidential information appropriately
-Good knowledge of SAP
-Self-motivated, detail-oriented and proactive
-Able to work under stress to meet tight deadlines and handling multiple tasks
