This position is within the SBS - Information Services Team and you will report to the Production and Planning Applications Domain Leader. Based in Shanghai, you will work in a global team in charge of developing SAP or non-SAP applications which enable users to run their production and planning processes, i.e. Strategic Planning, the S&OP, the MPS, the production scheduling or the MRP process, and also production execution.

Knowledge in these tools available in Solvay - SAP PP (Production Planning), Dynasys (S&OP solution), ORTEMS (scheduling solution), SAP APO (Demand Planning module only) or SAP BW will be key. This technical IS expertise is necessary and your challenge will be to develop the appropriation of these tools by the users, and you will need to understand in depth the production and planning processes.
 
Your main responsibilities will be to :
● Promote continuous improvement and proactively identify opportunities for system and process enhancements.
● Ensure the successful roll-out of production and planning applications and work closely with internal stakeholders (Global Business Unit Supply chain teams, Industrial corporate function and IS World Wide Teams)
● Provide support to the users in an efficient manner, like stipulated in the Service Level Agreement.
 
Profile:
? Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain or mathematics or equivalent.
? A strong understanding of the Production and Planning processes, and more generally of the supply chain processes (S&OP, MPS, MRP, Scheduling) in order to be able to dialog with users and their managers.
? Minimum 5 years of strong expertise in both APO and SAP PP is required
Certification in SAP PP / APO is an advantage
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in MNC environment and ability to interact with internal stakeholders from all levels across different cultures
● Bilingual; Strong communication skills in Mandarin and English (verbal and written)
● Some traveling will be required for projects (estimated 25%of travelling) mostly within Asia
