职位描述：
PURPOSE:

This position is intended to provide the QA technician and supervisor with guidelines for assessing job performance and planning for future responsibilities. The technician’s activities are determined and prioritized based upon departmental, plant and corporate goals and objectives. He/she will have responsibilities for analyses, equipment or instrument operation, trouble-shooting, and maintenance. He/she will understand the basic operating principles, keeping the labs in good order and sanitation. Duties may be modified or additional duties may be assigned based on the business needs of the organization.


RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Technical
? Instrumentation - Be a part of the integration of new or existing instrumentation into the laboratory. Ensure that operational capabilities are fully understood and utilization of instruments is maximized by laboratory staff. Able to operate, troubleshoot and train laboratory staff on all instrumentation. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to the laboratory instrumentation.
? Analytical Procedures – Introduce new analysis into the laboratory. This includes the introduction and/or development of new procedures. Make procedural recommendations designed to make improvements in precision and accuracy.
? Use statistical tools to troubleshoot processes or test/confirm validity issues.
? Check and update the analytical standards that are used in the laboratory.


Projects
? Assist Processing Specialists, Laboratory Supervisors, Chemists and other Technicians in the integration of new products into the laboratory
? Perform equipment calibrations and ensure that calibrations are performed as scheduled, and that all supportive documentation is in place and accurate.
? Process improvement - Seek out and propose the application of new processes, methodologies, and/or equipment that would have a positive impact on the laboratory.
? Carefully monitor the accuracy and quality of work methods.


Environmental, Health and Safety
? Promote and follow plant policies regarding safe work practices through the prevention of personal injury, conservation of the environment, and protection of Lubrizol property.
? Ensure and assist QA supervisor in the QA department performance of HSE in Zhuhai Plant.


Training
? Ability to learn. Communicate with all laboratory staff on products, procedures, process changes, training.
? Document completed training.

Communication
? Openly communicates technical information, both written and verbal.

Customer Complaints / Corrective Action
? Seek ways to improve customer service.
? Follow up with customers to ensure problems are resolved.
? Work on CARs (Corrective Action Requests) that involve technical issues.




REQUIREMENTS – EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:

Education / Certification
University degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering

Required Experience:
At least 1 year of related experience in lab testing or QA testing

Language Skills:
? Fluent in English, both written and verbal
? Ability to understand and convey technical information in a clear and concise manner
