Qualifications:

·Degree or equivalent in electronic engineering or related discipline

Experience:

·5+ years in new product development within a high volume manufacturing Industry

·Proven ability in design of electronic circuits, and in particular control circuits using microcontrollers.

·The ability to take overall responsibility for electronic design on new products from concept through to production.

·2+ years experience in working in a multi-function team across multiple-sites.

Knowledge/Attributes:

·Demonstrate ability in the use at least one of the PCB layout software tool; Protel / PADs/ Cadence etc.

·Demonstrate ability in programming micro-controllers (NEC/Microchip/Fujitsu) for use in control circuits . C and assembly programming skill is required.

·To work closely with both English & Chinese Engineers and be able to communicate readily with them in both languages.

·Experience in the use of testing techniques, developing test equipment, procedures & documentation to validate product reliability

·Ability to troubleshoot, analyse problems and implement changes to improve product.

·Thorough understanding of both high-volume Western and low-cost Far-East assembly techniques.

·Thorough understanding of part / process capability and impact on function and production of electronic circuits.

·The ability to clearly document design and provide instructions for use both in Chinese and English.

·Demonstrable ability to innovate and provide creative input to new products.

·Ability to participate in design reviews (peer reviews) on engineering proposals, and interpret software requirements for design concepts.
