Summary:

The Financial Manager is responsible for the preparation and observance of the company's financial budgets and policies, its accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the financial community, the maintenance of its fiscal records, and the preparation of financial reports. The position involves supervision over general accounting, internal auditing and budgetary controls. The Financial Manager reports to the General Manager, as well as to the Corporate Controlling and Corporate Accounting of SEMIKRON Headquarters in Germany.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinates financial statements, monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, audit activities, and other information reports and requests according to local GAAP and IFRS.

Development, analysis and interpretation of accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization.

Maintains the company's system of accounts and keeps books and records on all company transactions and assets.

Coordinates and directs the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts (cash flow planning),

institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system), analyzes and reports variances.

Coordinates half-yearly calculation of manufacturing costs and transfer prices.

Is responsible for tax planning and compliance with all local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes.

Takes a lead role in negotiating with banks and lending institutions when necessary.

Furnishes internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient and furnishes external reports to headquarters in Germany as necessary. (monthly, quarterly, annually)

Financial staff management, motivation, training, recruitment and selection.

Other areas of potential responsibility: company insurance, credit insurance and other insurance issues.

Act as main interface with the external auditors, tax authorities and headquarters controlling department.

Lead the financial team in the company.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Degree and experience in Accounting / Finance

Knowledge of local and international financial reporting standards (IAS, IFRS)

Ability to analyze and interpret financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections

Ability to prepare financial plans and manage resources

Good computer skills and knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or accounting applications

Experience in Navision, payment transaction systems and if possible Hyperion (HFM) and TM1 (IBM Cognos)

Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce the reporting requirements within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.

Very good English skills, both verbal and written; German skills desirable
