MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To interpret and deliver financial and statistical information to the management team in China and divisional management for the purpose of continually improving understanding of profit drivers, identifying and supporting areas where efficiency and effectiveness can be improved.

China GM / Finance Controller

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintenance and refinement of Business Forecasting Models

T Maintenance and enhancement of a rolling 18 month forecast built up from key business drivers that are used to model various strategic and tactical scenarios.

T Reporting to, and reviewing with, local managers all forecast detail from opportunities through orders, sales, and expenditures to profit and modelling scenario variants.

T Provide support for the completion of the annual Strategic Marketing Review (SMR) and Group Planning / Forecasting process.

Support to Management for all Financial and KPI reporting

T Interpret KPI reports for local and senior managers and develop their understanding to a level whereby they have full knowledge of their performance targets and achievements.

T Provide management with financial reports that cover sales, margins, overheads, and profit with analysis at product and territory (within China) level.

T Identify process and operational savings across China operations, present and if accepted, monitor the implementation of improvements.

T In particular, utilisation of resource

T Warranty and Aftersales performance

T Work with local management on improvements to inventory and receivables performance.

T Work with product, market and system development teams to plan, forecast and monitor project and non-project costs.

T Specifically monitor product cost trends and identify opportunities for improved margin and profit.

Support for SAP Reporting

T Develop a detailed understanding of all SAP procedures and data sources.

T Support the training of existing and new staff in SAP procedures.

T Monitor use and accuracy of data, helping management ensure high levels of data integrity.

T Challenge the efficiency and effectiveness of work flows, suggesting and promoting improvements.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & CHARACTER

Bachelor's degree or above in top famous universities

Related qualifications - Eg ACMA/ACCA/Chinese CPA, fresh qualification is preferable

PC literate & confident with integrated business systems.

Confident and proactive.

Native language being Mandarin and a high level of spoken and written English

This position will be based in Shanghai, travelling between Shanghai and Zhuhai, as well as overseas is required
