Main purpose of job

· Provide end user support and troubleshoot any local IT issues, including PCs and laptops, printers, applications, phone support, video conference support and network access

· Escalate and be site contact for any infrastructure issues affecting the local office

· Configure and install OS (XP and Windows 7), applications (such as Lotus Notes, Sametime, Sophos, Checkpoint and Cisco VPN client) and any additional software for OMEC users

· Provide end user training where necessary

· Basic knowledge of server OS, backup devices and backup software

· To maintain communication with head office and other members of the IT team

· Administer email accounts for OMEC employees

Skills and Knowledge required of the job holder

· High level of PC hardware and software understanding, including PC components, drivers, OS and applications

· Good level of English, written and oral

· Good communications skills

· Good level of problem solving skills

· Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN and WAN

· The ability to learn new technology on their own

· A minimum of 3 years working experience in an IT support role is required.

Additional Skills

· Strong AD knowledge

· Some backup device and software knowledge

· Strong Windows Server OS 2003/2008 experience
