Main Purpose of the job

The Sales Application Manager is a technically competent individual with a detailed knowledge of the technology, applications, competitive landscape, and sales strategies needed to reach or exceed territory sales. Must be a customer-focused individual with a high sense of urgency, in keeping with Omec’s reputation and desired position in all markets in which we compete.
The Sales Application Manager will communicate regularly with the UK-based Product Manager who works closely with NPI to drive product development plans, whilst the subsidiary-based Sales Application Manager is more closely aligned with sales, marketing and business development efforts. These activities will include:

1. Research of industrial application
2. Train business department for product knowledge
3. Make sales materials
4. Cooperate with marketing department to find marketing opportunities
5. Expand and plan new business

Job Content

1. To be familiar with industries and applications and know the distribution of customers in the industry. Deeply research the application of specific sample and through the application, find out the industrial chain of customer’s sample. Find out the relevant industrial organizations, main expositions and conferences and provide relevant information to marketing department.
2. To be familiar with the current product line and collect suggestions of sales, service, lab and marketing departments. Confirm the gap of our instrument for the industrial application and provide relevant information to Product Management so as to help with product development to improve the product and make the product more suitable for customers.
3. Collect information of competitor. Based on materials of current products, make the sales tools and provide relevant sales materials to sales department.
4. Be responsible for training business department for new product and new improvement of product.
5. Find out new business opportunities and work with Product Management to expand current product line.
6. To seek opportunities for collaboration with key academic customers in China to produce research papers and application notes.
7. Works to promote the awareness of Omec’s products within key industrial sectors, through identifying and working with key influencers within the China market.
8. Generate product support material (application notes, technical notes, articles, FAQ's and material for use on Omec Web Site) to improve the communication to the market.
9. To give technical presentations at seminars and conferences.
10. Works pro-actively with the regulatory bodies within China to understand the requirements for the use of our techniques within key industrial sectors and also to influence the nature of any guidance documents relating to the application of Omec’s techniques.
11. To assist the solving of technical problems and issues with our customers and products
12. To undertake visits to distributors and customers as required and to diligently document and circulate reports on such visits.
13. To completely understand the market opportunity for the products, as well as provide informed estimates as to Omec’s market share as well as competitors.
14. Maintain list of key customers for product line, and ensure strong relationship exists with Omec Instruments.
15. Temporary work assigned by the superior.

Experience and Education Background
Work Industry: Optics/Electronics/Machinery/Computer and relevant majors
Work Experience: Over five years’ experience on sales or marketing of precise instrument.
Education: Bachelor or above degree
Professional qualification: Engineer

Key qualifications
1. Familiar with laser particle size analyzer market. Have deep understanding about theory, application and market of particle size analyzer.
2. Good social and communication ability, and good organization and coordination ability.
3. Familiar with product line of the company and understand demand of customers.

Other basic skills
1. Prudent, dedicated with good occupational qualities and strong sense of responsibility;
2. Basic English level.
