Job Summary: Responsible to maintain Finished Goods inventory levels in accordance with distribution requirements, goals and objectives by utilizing the necessary inventory control programs as implemented.
Manage demand scheduling from customers and purchasing schedule from ShenZhen plant through conforming the delivery date commitments, and as well as meeting corporate inventory goals for both Shenzhen plant and distribution centre in Muskegon.
Essential Functions:
1. Review demand planning reports and initiate purchase orders to plant as required.
2. Monitor inventory receipts that affect open purchase orders.
3. Monitor demand and supply, and determine the inventory level in distribution centre.
4. Determine the shipment method for normal orders and critical orders to ensure all purchase orders are arranged with economy way and meet the delivery commitment.
5. Determine material requirements and schedules in accordance with production requirements to ensure POR and delivery targets are met.
6. Communicate changes and requirements for forecasting with the appropriate Sales Department designees.
7. Schedule proper ordering quantities based on production requirements, assurance of continued product activity, historical data, forecasts, and minimize handling, storage costs and obsolescence, and corporate inventory constraints.
8. Maintain all information necessary for new parts additions, materials and engineering changes and inputs & maintains information to MANMAN as required.
9. Provide statistical information and suggest & make changes that will improve material flow, reduce cost and improve overall inventory targets.
10. Monitor on-time deliveries and past due orders on daily base.
11. Initiate meetings as needed to establish firm sales targets regarding changes in demand and ordering practices.
12. Meet all corporate objectives associated with material control.
13. Assist in maintaining top level forecasting data to assure forecast accuracy.
14. Monitor and maintain all contributing computer systems and websites for subsequent inventory control.
Job Qualifications:
1. BS degree in Business Management or related discipline, with college courses in inventory or materials management, with a minimum of five year’s experience in inventory control.
2. Fluent in writing and speaking English.
3. Good in Microsoft Office application.
