General Purpose of Job:
Desktop and System Support
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide primary end user desktop support for office (70-80 users) in Zhongshan factory, second tier end user support for other China offices.
- Provide daily installation, maintenance and troubleshooting for PC hardware and software.
- Install or rebuild new/existing server and configure the hardware & related infrastructure in accordance with standard and project/operational requirement
- Perform daily back-up operations, Anti-virus management, patch deployment, system monitoring
- Perform daily administration of PABX system, including VoIP phone to Hong Kong
- Co-ordinate global project deployment and ensure corporate I.T. standards are adhered to
- Provide support for local area network, such as Cisco Layer 2 switch, access point etc.
Capability Requirements:
- Position requires the ability to work independently and teamwork.
- The position works within a team environment consisting of team member in Asia Pacific, which requires communication with all levels of staffs and with other divisions.
Preferable Characteristics;
- College diploma/degree in computer related field
- 2+ years solid experience in PC/Server supporting work
- Familiar with user support on Microsoft platform
- Experience in Microsoft Active Directory and MS Exchange/Outlook
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN, Voice System with MCSE/CCNA certificate is an advantage.
- Good communication skills – written and oral, English and Mandarin.
