Position/Job Title

IT Technician

Reporting to

Deputy Director (Curriculum)

Duties & Responsibilities

· Ensure daily functioning of all information and Communications technology equipment and systems required by the organization in its day-to-day business activities.

· Maintain and troubleshoot any issues with the LAN and WAN.

· Hardware and Software support for the all IT equipments which includes LAN, network equipments, phone system, wireless Access Points, Video Conference equipment, file servers, domain control, copiers & printers, PCs, Windows software, MS Office Software, etc.

· IT user support for Teaching staffs and Admin staffs

· Installation and management of servers as needed

· Manage local vendors and local purchasing.

· Other assigned projects including but not limited to the updating of school website content, producing the newsletter and other marketing materials

· Audio/ visual equipment.

Assist in the installation, setup and asset management of equipment as needed

Skills

· Fluent verbal and written English and Chinese

· Must understand IT infrastructure components including server HW/SW, networking fundamentals/security, and system implementation.

· People management skill

· Initiative, independent, good communication, good people skill and willing to work under pressure.

· Follows through consistently, pays close attention to details and able to multi-task.

· Skills in graphic design will be a plus

Expected Qualifications/ Experience

· University degree, major in Computer Science or related field

- Windows XP professional / Vista / 7

- Microsoft Outlook client

- Symantec Endpoint Protection
