Position Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Global Data Scientist is to support the Executive Director of Marketing Analytics in maximizing the use of and benefit from predictive modeling, campaign management, and real-time rules, and in maximizing the use of advance analytics in the delivery of DW/BI projects across functions. The Global Data Scientist is to form part of the global Center of Excellence for leveraging advance analytics and analytical tools in pursuit of the loyalty marketing and DW/BI teams’ goals.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental, LVSC policies, practices, and procedures.
This position reports to Corporate in Las Vegas, but is based in Zhu Hai.
Responsibilities:
? Predictive modeling, Marketing Analytics-focused:
o Build, test and deploy improved predictive models ranging from predicting customer value and trip frequency to imputing customer preferences and best-fit offer
o Research and experiment with new data sources, new analytical methods and new analytical technologies
? Analytical modeling, DW/BI-focused:
o Build, test and deploy improved analytical models that leverage data made accessible by DW/BI projects
o Serve as the advanced analytics subject matter expert on DW/BI projects that include casino and loyalty marketing; credit, collections and compliance; gaming optimization; group sales and revenue mgmt.; service excellence; labor optimization and procurement; finance and accounting
? Campaign management
o Analyze and recommend improvements to campaigns by customer segment (e.g. casino, FIT, group attendee), by test/control offers and by channel (e.g. email, SMS, kiosk, slots/tables, in-suite) throughout the customer lifecycle (e.g. acquisition, trial, incline, decline, lapse)
o Serve as the subject matter expert on the campaign management tool throughout the campaign lifecycle from offer design thru deployment and response thru post-analysis
? Cross-property campaign management
o Track cross-property campaigns performance and analyze cross-property campaigns results
? Real-time marketing rules
o Analyze and recommend improvements to real-time marketing rules based on real-time marketing analytics with the goal of extending spend per trip using approved reinvestment levels and leveraging perishable inventory
o Support properties in fully leveraging the real-time marketing analytics and rules engine and the team member-facing CRM tool (e.g. call center, hosts/loyalty desk, front desk)
? Other duties as directed by management
Qualifications and Requirements:
? Advance degree in the field of mathematics or statistics required
? Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in predictive analytics in the gaming/hospitality, financial services or internet/mobile industries
? Demonstrated expertise with SAS (SAS Data Flux, eMiner, eGuide, Marketing Automation, RTDM, Report Studio, BI Dashboard) and SugarCRM or MS Dynamics CRM preferred
? Hands on / direct involvement in working with large volumes of dat
? Demonstrated ability to build, deploy and measure (a) predictive analytics models, (b) test/control offers, and (c) real-time marketing rules;
? Proven track record in applying predictive analytical skills to increase customer response and revenue
? Experience with US and Asian markets preferred
? Willingness to travel for and work in Macau, Singapore or Las Vegas for extended periods of time
? Ability to complete multiple tasks and proactively impact the business
? Ability to synthesize and advocate findings, insight and recommendations from data and analytics
? Superior cross-functional team and structured project management skills
? Ability to influence peers and coach direct and indirect reports
