JOB PROFILE -Reliability and Component Manager

We are currently looking for a creative and talented individual with a passion for technology to drive reliability and qualification of hardware products to advance Hardware’s leadership position in exceeding our consumers' durability expectations.

This key position in our Quality reliability engineering organization. This role is responsible to lead the Regional activities of Reliability for the company in China.
The ideal candidate will have a solid reliability and simulations background with process/manufacturing background in consumer electronics industry (electromechanical) and strong in supplier quality management with in-depth knowledge on reliability testing methodology and reliability analysis .
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, this candidate must possess strong communication, organizational, technical and documentation skills. You must function well in a fast-paced collaborative environment and be able to apply critical thinking and strong problem solving skills to complex production environment scenarios to ensure high availability.


Core Responsibilities

Mentoring site reliability team - providing guidance and coaching to the site reliability group to provide technical support, problem solving and implement effective site reliability strategies.
Managing Ongoing Reliability performance of Sustaining products, and provide fast response time to solutions and reliability issues closures.
Develop Suppliers to setup On-Going-Reliability test to monitoring mass production.
Candidate will be responsible for monitoring product performance in the field and will work closely with manufacturing partners and component vendors to perform failure analysis and drive corrective action
Work with Redmond Reliability teams to develop and to document reliability qualification plans for new products
Perform DOE and DOE and/or mathematical analysis to improve the quality of product and effectiveness of the reliability stresses or resolve reliability issues related to products
Provide reliability guidance to Contract manufacturers and suppliers for release to manufacture phase and lab qualifications.
Understanding of the technology, materials and failure mechanisms associated with major electronic and electro-mechanical components/materials.

Requirements:

- Master /PhD Degree in Mechanical/material or physics
- Total work experience 16-25 years (inclusive 8-12 years in reliability field or hardware testing)
- FEA simulation experience is advantageous
- Solid experience in hardware verification and Plastic material knowledge.
- Strong statistical analysis skill, familiar with tools as Minitab or Weibull
- Understand the PoF and good FA skills.
- DFMEA experience
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with people from a variety of technical backgrounds
