Responsibilities:

Responsible for Design/Development and Validation execution of New Tech/Product Platform, and Detail Plans For Assigned Project Breakdown Tasks/Mini-Projects/Projects;
Responsible for Design & Validation of Product Re-Conf and Detail Plans For Product(s) upon Assignment;
Maintains Approved Vendor Lists for Assigned Project, and Responsible to Assure Design/Product Compliance With Major Regulatory Requirements Such As RoHS and REACH;
Principal Technical Contact With Customer For Technology Requirements, Product Improvement, Changes, and Problem Resolution;
With Process Engineering, Plays A Lead Role in Driving Critical Process-Driven Quality For Manufacturing Areas Employed In Production;
Draft/Reviews/Approves Test Plans & Software For Targeted Designs/Products;
Provides Technical Leadership And Support For Floor-level Process/Product Improvement In Direct Support Of Target Products;
Participation in New Tech/Product development from Brainstorming into Concept Phase and into Implementation;
Participation in New Tech/Product development disciplines, supporting statistical analysis, software modeling, hands-on prototyping and evaluation, Report out.

Qualifications:
M.S. (PH.D Preferred) In Applicable Engineering Disciplines, such as Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Opto-Electronics, Optical Engineering, Applied Physics, Material Engineering - Strongly Prefer Six-Years Above Experience In Tech/Product Development in Fiber Optics;
Spoken and Written fluency in Both Mandarin and English Required. Will Interact in a Global environment;
Experience With Fiber Optic Connectors Mandatory. Fiber Optic Fiber Optic Interconnection/Cable Assembly (Passive and/or Active) Development and Test Knowledge/Experience Highly Desirable;
Team-oriented Engineer With Ability To Communicate Effectively With Both Customers and Division Technical, Production, and Business Groups;
Innovation Mind-set with A Proven Record of Innovation for result (IP filing/Granting & Productization);
Project Management Skills;
Highly Disciplined and Self-motivated;
Strong Technical Skills – Pro-E, ACAD proficiency, Six Sigma Process and LDFSS Certification Highly Desirable. Ability To Cross-train Junior Engineers For Current and Future Support and Development Requirements.
