The Director, Business Development will be based in Shenzhen Fuyong. Responsible for driving the growth of GSS across China and the APAC region by developing new business acquisition strategies and executing the APAC growth strategy. Working closely with GSS executives, segment BDs and the lead generation team to win new business relating to forward logistics, postponement, direct order fulfilment, aftermarket / circular economy and B2C eCommerce solutions.

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Develop strategic alliances with executives from key customers and new prospects.
• Analyze and understand customers’ business objectives, supply chain challenges, and global expansion strategies and align Flex resources and solutions to address their supply chain goals.
• Define business priorities through a broad and far vision of supply chain and technology needs, to include initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration for GSS across multiple industry segments.
• Assist other BDs and account managers in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex’s solutions which include concept development, supply chain/logistics business modelling and solutioning.
• Impacts the long-term (annual) direction and success of the function and/or site including meeting new business quotas and targets.
• Establishes and ensures effective achievement of functional strategic plans and objectives for the site. Develops plans for structuring and implementing major initiatives.

  
  

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences or business; MBA is preferred
• Typically requires 7 years of progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience in a service supply chain / aftermarket role
• Ability to work with internal teams and executive management as well as external customers to maximize mutual benefit. Demonstrates mastery of functional knowledge in relation to other functions and a complete understanding of the function and those of related businesses. Demonstrated ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives and key clients.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to business requirements and RFPs. Ability to prepare responses and make presentations on new business initiatives and / or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
