Requirements:

1.A PhD in enzymology/biochemistry/food science with at least three to five years experience in research institutes or in product formulations and product development.

2.Must be fluent in Mandarin and English and has the ability to collaborate with local universities for projects.

3.Be able to lead and conduct independent research work, interacting and working well with others.

Responsibilities

1.Coordinate, plan and conduct applied and exploratory research projects to ensure timely and successful completion.

2.Identify long term potential exploratory research projects and apply to governmental granting agencies for external funding as principal investigator.

3.Patent and literature search to update new development of products primarily in the area of enzymes and other related fields critical to the business.

4.Lead and coordinate research project team primarily on enzyme development, but not limited to that.

5.Communicate, advise and interact with marketing/technical services department to prioritize and in the conduct of research projects, and to provide scientific support in assisting increasing sales.

6.Involved in the transfer of new product from development to production phase via pilot-plant study.

7.Carry out visits to market where appropriate to improve interaction with customers.

8.Evaluate and validate all methodologies of the laboratory against established and accepted protocols.

9.Publish R & D findings in international journals to gain acceptance and increase company profile.

10.Plan and budget for R & D activities and equipment.

11.Contribute to patents, white papers and journal publications through research activities.
