职位描述

BASIC FUNCTION


Responsible for the growth of the category business & its vitality for Emerging markets by driving core product portfolio strategy & execution. Will be conducting comprehensive and detailed marketing analysis for the assigned product lines (Intelligent Toilets & Cleansing seats, In wall tanks & faceplates, Styling Space Products, Commercial products.) and persuasively making recommendations based on results to arrive at Core product portfolio for the emerging markets.  

 

Product Strategy to be arrived basis-

1.     Understanding the market landscape ( codes & standards, customers, channels, competition etc),

2.     Current state of business in that market ( strat plan, current product portfolio, financials, logistic model, vitality,  channel requirements etc)

3.     Understanding the global projects & new product schedules by having regular communication with the global category & program managers.   

4.     Be well informed on product discontinuations planned by the major regions/plants

5.     Wearing A business Hat to critically evaluate financials ( profitability, volume contribution, Effort vs impact etc) before deciding on new product introductions

 

Drive Portfolio Execution by-

1.     Working closely with program managers to ensure on going projects are well tracked for timely launch. Using project Online to track project status.

2.     Kick off new projects basis Portfolio Strategy and lead the same

3.     Work with cross functional teams to ensure flawless project executions

        


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Provide insights into the markets and craft future growth strategy .

·         Be the voice of EM for assigned categories and provide inputs for EM in global scopes.

·         Work with the global community (marketing, engineering, and design) to be well informed and thus be able to guide the Emerging markets .

·         Collect, consolidate, and analyze global customer, industry and competitive intelligence into a summary of the emergin market situation to drive sound product and market strategy that continue to support Kohler Co.’s growth objectives and leadership position.

·         Maintain continuous awareness of competitive products, KOHLER global portfolio, pricing, performance, and market share including trends in product design, architecture, interiors, living environments, etc. for the purpose of recommending product continuance or modifications, market potential, etc.

·         Collaborate with S&O team to consolidate EM demand forecasts. Utilize the assistance of Market Research, Regional Marketing Teams, and customers as may be required to validate assumptions.

·         Identify opportunities for improvement in global processes, and driving greater global alignment.

·         Maintain continuous contact with design groups, regional teams, global engineering, and all other internal and external sources which can contribute to the development of new product ideas to satisfy market needs, drive business growth, and increased profit.

·         Maintain awareness of legislation, trade group agreements, federal, state, and local codes which may affect marketing or products, and recommend the necessary action.


RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS


            Supervisory Relationships:

·         Reports to GM- Emerging Markets.       

            Organization Relationships:

·         On-going contact with regional marketing teams regarding scoping and development of new projects. Work jointly with program manager to ensure timely launch of projects.

 

·         Frequent contact with manufacturing, sourcing , engineering operations etc while leading project team meetings

 

·         Frequent contact with Global Category Strategy teams to understand overall category strategy and new product schedules.

·          Moderately frequent contact with Finance and Supply Chain teams regarding forecasting, budgets, and product performance.

 

            External Business Relationships:

·         Visit customer locations to understand consumer and customer needs.

·         Attend trade shows to maintain a continual awareness of new marketing concepts, competitors’ methods, new products, new material methods, etc.


 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

 

Masters Degree in Marketing or related field required. 

Proficient with English & Mandarin language.

 

2-3 years prior experience in Category management, Sales, Marketing, Channel Management, and/or Product Development.  Demonstrated ability or track record of results.

 

Must be passionate about products. Self Motivated and result oriented.Must possess a keen analytical mind, be strong on planning, detail and accuracy and be a demonstrably creative thinker.  Must possess substantial skills in written and oral communication with all levels of Management and with outside contacts. Must demonstrate ability to foster communications between regions and cultivate a world-class global product marketing community.

 

Travel:  Approximately 3-40% international travel
