Description of the job

  

The system engineer defines the specification, the architecture and the interfaces of the product to satisfy customer requirements. Responsible for performances / technical requirements of the product and their implementation into sub-systems. Responsible for the conformity of the design to the product requirements. Supports engineering teams to ensure the right adequation of sub-systems requirements and their design with customer needs.

  

Technical Management

  

Project focus:

  

Defines the architecture and the specification of the product and validates the specification of sub-systems following standards of domains considered. Support the specification of sub-systems and the verification cross matrix. Implements product integration tests and consistency of tool associated. Validates product tests procedure and approves the product tests results. Writes the documents justifying conformity to requirements and qualification plan strategy.

  

Function focus:

  

Applies the technical policies, the best practices, capitalizes the lessons learnt and shares them with engineering team. Ensures technical watch on standards evolutions into the domain he oversees.

  

Project management

  

Coordinates technical activities when multidisciplinary teams are involved Interfaces project manager, application engineers, services, maintenance, industrialization, marketing, quality, purchasing stakeholders for the product design

  

Contract management

  

Supports negotiation of product interface, its requirements and the associated validation with the customer.

  

Skills required

  

Team Player with positive collaborative behaviors Excellent ‘can do’ attitude and pro-active behaviors Sound understanding of System Engineering Process (including System Specification, System Test and Integration) Experience of Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysML and UML Experience in tools for Requirements Capture and Control (DOORS) Experience in Configuration Management Experience in engineering product delivery Experience of technical problem solving Excellent communication skills (timing and content aspects) Trade Off analysis and solution generation Engineering degree or equivalent
