Job Overview and Responsibilities:

Mission:

· To provide professional and timely technical expertise to customers, partner with commercial team to develop the new application / new development, and to technical development and promotion of the company’s products, in order to develop the Solvay Specialty Polymers business in the Transportation market.         

Roles & Responsibilities:

· To provide the technical development to all the accounts located in China (including application/development support, material selection, part design review, tooling design review, molding trial running, troubleshooting and productivity improvement, etc.).

· To provide technical marketing activities to the sales team for marketing documents, marketing programs, trade shows, and seminars, etc.

· To provide market intelligence/development trends for global new product development and product optimization.

· To track/communicate/report the status of the development products situation with the global R&D team.

· To manage and develop long term relationship with the customers that he /she is assigned for.

· To share his /her expertise with the whole CTD team, support to build up one total-solution team. 

Education and Experience: 

· Master's degree in Mechanical engineering/Tooling engineering / Polymer or above.

· Understand the assessment and certification process of plastics for the Auto application; have the experience to work with the commercial team together to develop new business in the Auto market.

· Good cost analysis and new development/application skills.

· Business understanding of engineering polymers in application Auto business.

· Working experience in the field of engineering plastics, injection molding, or tooling design, which relate to transportation (automotive, aerospace) is a plus.

· Able to know the basic knowledge of injection molding, tooling, and design, etc…

· Able to travel frequently.

· Able to work and communicate clearly with internal and external.

· Be open, self-confident, and great teamwork spirit.

· Strong desires for success, self-motivated, proactively looking for new challenges.

Additional Information:

· Fluent in Chinese, English, and ability to communicate in both languages locally and globally.

· Frequent travel in mainland China.
