Description

This incumbent will be responsible for driving, maintaining and upgrading plant facilities and all kinds of Environment Health Safety (EHS) functions and interaction with local government.

Responsibilities

• Formulate strategies, plans, policies and procedures for Plant Facilities and EHS.
• Develop preventive maintenance strategy, plan and schedule for all utilities supplies and facilities, and organize emergency repair.
• Propose upgrading plan for public facilities in regular basis and direct relevant technical activities.
• Lead departments to conduct preventive EHS audits to identify potential EHS hazards.
• Conduct investigations for work-related injuries as well as other health and environment incidents to help respective department managers identifying root cause and working out corrective actions.
• Track progress of the committed improvement and corrective actions.
• Track the trends of incidents as well as resulting compensation and other indirect cost.
• Work with other local Emerson divisions on continuous improvement in EHS performance.
• Monitor departmental and plantwide EHS performance continuously and take preventive actions to minimize EHS risk.
• Direct activities in compliance of all kinds of applicable EHS (both local legislation and Emerson) standards and regulations and act as the Management Representative of ISO14000 and OHSAS18001.
• Identify reliable contractors and monitor their performance for outsourcing tasks.
• Lead cost saving projects of plant
  Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or related disciplines.
  • 8 years' plant facilities and EHS experience of which at least 2 years in managerial level.
  • Work independently and solve problem proactively.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Good command of both written and verbal English.
  • High proficiency in MS Office applications.
