Overall Function :

As a member of the R&D management you will supervise a team of research

associates, and are responsible for the innovation, development, testing, and scale-up of new products in the business area.

Responsibilities:

1.Develop, maintain, and execute a technology strategy to support the acquisition and commercialization of new technologies.

2.Cultivate and manage Kemin relationship with research centers (public and private) to identify new technologies that may be of commercial value.

3.Focus and prioritize research projects in the field of animal health and nutrition, and assume responsibility for their success in compliance with the Product Innovation Process.

4.Test lab-scale and pilot scale production for new products.

5.Analyze and interpret research data, reporting results as research papers and scientific reports, both internally and externally.

6.Work closely with other functional areas to ensure that new technologies are developed in an efficient and timely fashion

7.Interact with sales and technical team, along with customers, to address technical questions and provide solutions to problems

8.Provide budgetary management and planning for activities

9.Assist in the preparation of patents and other IP decisions

10.Foster an environment of open communication and creativity

11.Guide colleagues in designing experiments, interpreting results and solving analytical problems.

Qualifications & Experience

1.Ph.D. in biochemistry, chemistry, or comparable field from a well known university

2.Proven track record of solid capability to carry out high-quality independent research

3.Foreign research or education experience will be a plus

4.People management experience will be a plus.

5.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese
