Job Description

The Software Development (Staff) Engineer will be based in Zhangjiang-Shanghai.

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

Here is a glimpse of what you’ll do:

• Interface with other functional groups and external vendors as part of the technical cross-functional team developing detailed product requirements
• Architect, design and deliver system software after specification of platform requirements
• Write source code, technical design and functional documentation
• Participate as a member of project team with other engineers and internal and outsourced development partners in defining requirements, risks and mitigation reviews, and ensure subsystem requirements meet system requirements and applicable quality and regulatory standards.
• Follow Flex’s disciplined product development process and participate in technical reviews, ensuring design and documentation traceability, and confirming that design outputs meet design inputs.
• Mentor junior engineers to help them advance to the next grade level.

Here is some of what you’ll need (required):

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, automation engineering, computer science or information technology
• Over 3 years working experiences in automotive software development
• C/Python programming skills
• Good knowledge of In-Vehicle Network such as CAN/CAN-FD/LIN, Automotive Ethernet, Bluetooth
• Knowledge of software configuration management tools such as Subversion, GIT
• Willing to continuously learn the new technology
• Strong analytical skills together with high self-learning capabilities
• Good teamwork spirit
• Good communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese
• Be willing to travel in china and globally

Here are a few of our preferred experiences:

• Experience with Automotive software engineering processes (Automotive SPICE)
• Knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262)
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR
