Main Purpose of the job:
? Operations Manager works for Product Delivery Process as a local co-manager.
? Produce and deliver the products in an exact, but a cost-effective way. Operations Manager is in charge of the quality performance and production costs. Operations Manager works also in Production Creation Process as a competence and support provider for Account Managers to implement their projects into production.
-OTD: complete production volume as planned
-Quality: Ensure the quality level of products
-Production Scrap cost control
-Production Supplies cost control
-Shop floor 5S & equipment PM
-People resource utilization and discipline management
Essential responsibilities (please list down quantified and/or qualified measure after each responsibility)
? Customer project implementation
-Product Creation and project implementation in co-operation with the Project Management
Resourcing: Competence maintaining, recruiting & personnel dedication, equipment
Scheduling: Purchases, installations, test runs
? Production and delivery management
-Co-management responsibility for Product Delivery process
-Capacity management and follow up
-Delivery Management accordingly to sales demand
-Visibility
-Production Planning and Buffer stock control
-Manufacturing execution systems (MES) utilization
? Production economy
-Responsible to make monthly rolling cost centre forecast, and follow actual cost vs. planned
cost.
-To develop costing system in co-operation with the finance department
-To monitor main costs, Key Performance Indicators and to make improvement
-To improve the way of operation and working methods for better productivity
? Machinery and equipment
-To monitor the usage and condition of production machinery
-To arrange preventive maintenance to keep up and improve productivity and to conserve
the value of machinery.
-To improve equipment's cycle times, yields and flexibility for better performance
-To look for improvements and technical developments for better effectiveness
? Quality
-To attend and arrange FMEA meetings to prevent the problems beforehand
-To improve Internal and External DPM's in co-operation with quality team
-To handle customer complaints and to make plans for corrective actions
-PURCHASING (Partial responsibility co-ordinated by the Procurement team)
-Purchasing of production equipment, consumables and some investments
? Personnel
-To create an open and positive but result driven work atmosphere
-To manage salaries to encourage development, but also control the costs
-To maintain the necessary competencies by re-organising the tasks and by training.
-To arrange internal and external training in co-operation with HR team.
? Safety, health and environment
-To consider EHS issues in planning new applications or changes in the production
-To audit the different areas with EHS engineer and to make improvement plans
Job requirements:
1) Education, experience and skills
? M.Sc./B.Sc. in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and the following competences:
? Adequate experience from multinational companies in piece goods manufacturing or mobile handheld production,
? Strong experience in production planning and control,
? Experience in production related modules of ERP operation control system
? Experience in cost definition and efficiency improvement with production processes,
? Negotiation skill
? Contractual skills
? MSc in sourcing related discipline, Mobile Phone industrial experience expected.
