JOB DESCRIPTION AND SPECIFICATION


Position Title: Assistant Demand Manager
Company: Griffith Foods (CHINA) CO.LTD.
Location: Zhong Shan
Reports to: Senior Planning & Logistics Manager

Summary:

Take the responsibilities to generates, revises and analyzes sales forecast for the company, work with planning team with the highest productivity while keeping the lowest inventory level and maximizing customer service satisfaciton. Manage and coordinate with others department for new product launch process.

Key Accountabilities:

1. Analyze customers demand (forecast, sales orders), identify inventory levels, execute the planning procedure in the ERP (Baan).
2. Revises forecasted demand generated by automatic statistical tool and validates results with sales people.
3. Follows up on actual sales orders’ compliance against original forecast with both sales people and service assurance personnel (forecast accuracy).
4. Monthly reporting of forecast accuracy and analysis of major deviations.
5. Reviews, along with the planning team, the forecasted demand for the next three months in order to align demand with manufacturing capacity.
6. Manage and coordinate new product launch.
7. Monitors and manually executes all necessary changes in demand not visible to the statistical tool, i.e. LTO’s, promotions, replacements, price changes, seasonality.
8. Communicates any sudden change in demand to supply chain (planning and procurement).
9. Provides input to supply chain regarding changes in item classification (MTO, MTS).
10. Alignment of statistically generated sales forecast with actual demand of customers.
11. Contributes to keep the lowest possible inventories (efficient plant scheduling) while promoting high service levels through an accurate sales forecast.
12. Balances optimistic expectations of sales people with statistical information.
13. Analysis of installed capacity versus demand
14. Interaction with the involved departments in order to assure the fulfillment the production program (purchasing, production, quality, finance, service assurance, etc.)
15. Determine, timely re-visit planning parameter of raw materials and pack materials.
16. Work with planner to set up and monitoring re-order point.
17. Provide volume forecast of raw materials to procurement
18. Update monthly KPI report
19. Maintain sales forecast in BAAN system and crystal enterprise
20. Other duties as assignment

Job Requirements/Qualifications

Education and Experience:

? Bachelor degree or equal level.
? At least 5 years of experience in customer services, planning and sales area. Formal training in statistical analysis.
? Experience using forecasting software such as Logility in business that has high number of sku’s (> 300)
? Worked in an environment where there is a formal Sales and Operating Planning (S&OP) process
? Accreditation in production planning or forecasting
? Extrovert who likes interacting with sales force and who knows how to motivate them to get better at forecasting

Skills:

? Computer literacy and good command of Microsoft offices.
? Very strong with excel spreadsheets (priority if write macro’s, import/export data)
? Initiative and self-motivated.
? Independent and well-organized.
? Good analytical and problem solving skills.
? Good cooperation and communication skills
