The Company in the Healthcare market segment is a global supplier of nonwoven fabrics used in healthcare for infection control, medical apparel and wound care. Product offerings include surgical gowns and patient drapes, healthcare worker and patient apparel, face masks, wound care substrates, CSR wrap and transfer wrap, medical accessories, and protective apparel. Global healthcare market segment accounts for 30% of sales volume with nearly USD400 million of global sales. In China, with the market high growth potential, the Company is looking for further development of the healthcare business segment.

Position Description

This role is to lead the product management and marketing efforts to support growth within select product lines within the Global Business Development Organization (GBDO) segments.

The position will play a fundamental role in transforming the product line through innovative marketing strategies, tactics and execution. Responsible for the development and implementation of tactical marketing plans (4Ps) to meet Company objectives and profit budgets for assigned market area(s). Provide tactical marketing leadership to ensure optimal business results.

Overall, this position is mainly with regional responsibilities of Asia Product Marketing Management based on Asia current and future assets, Asia customers and market situation.

It is an individual contributor role that has responsibility for Asia set of products within the Global Hygiene Segment.

-Accountable for monitoring & enhancing growth and profitability, on select product lines across all regions and channels of the business annually
-Develop and manage product line marketing plans, including: strategy and positioning, differentiation, market research, and all aspects of integrated marketing including branding, communication, product launches, trade shows, etc. Work closely with regional commercial leaders to lead the development of tactical marketing plan and monitor progress. Plan includes all aspects of market analysis, global chessboard modeling, objectives, priorities setting and 4P (price, product, promotion and place) guideline and metrics
-Establish key sector metrics and report sector performance
-Provide the sales force with effective marketing support, including sales tools, training, trend information, customer presentations and problem-solving support
-Oversee and coordinate forecasting, pricing strategy and mix management. Manage the product line optimization, including SKU rationalization and product line expansions
-Lead development of the long-term sector product plan. Ensure that product development, raw materials strategy and asset planning are optimized against global best opportunities. Instill next generation ideation, MR & evaluation techniques, e.g., product life cycle management, global product offerings guideline and define the global product development pipe line linked with global segment strategic plan and also make sure regional plan is aligned
-Identify new opportunities by recognizing market and end-user trends and formulating long-term new product ideas to ensure growth and profitability. Analyze and track market and competitive information for selected product lines in all regions and channels, including key competitors, sustainable competitive advantages and core competency identification and exploitation
-Develop strong relationships with sales. Develop regional positioning and messaging for value positioning and value selling tools of global platform product to support regional Commercial teams
-Meet with customers in order to gain a thorough understanding of their needs
-Lead New Product Development projects for areas of responsibility. Lead commercialization of R&D platforms across regions by closely working regional commercial team. Develop & own all product trend analyses that support R&D direction and assets planning decision
-Work with cross functional individuals/teams to secure and grow with major global and regional customers, potential value chain partners, etc. Identify synergies across company sectors, customer and regions
-Other duties as required
-Must be willing and able to travel overnight and internationally

Position Requirements

It is an individual contributor role that has responsibility for Asia set of products within the Global Healthcare Segment. Accountable for monitoring & enhancing growth and profitability in select markets and channels of the business

-Develop and manage marketing plans, including: strategy and positioning, differentiation, market research, and all aspects of integrated marketing including branding, communication, product launches, trade shows, etc.
-Provide the sales force with effective marketing support, including sales tools, training, trend information, customer presentations and problem-solving support
-Oversee and coordinate forecasting, pricing strategy and mix management
-Manage the product line optimization, including SKU rationalization and product line expansions
-Identify new opportunities by recognizing market and end-user trends and formulating long-term new product ideas to ensure growth and profitability
-Meet with customers in order to gain a thorough understanding of their needs
-Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
-Minimum 8-10 years' work experience with at least 5 years working experience in foreign funded enterprise in product management or similar marketing positions.
-Minimum 3 years of product management experience in healthcare industry, preferably in Medical device/supply sector
-Experience in the manufacturing environment and/or R&D preferred
-Global experience preferred
-Strong business acumen and expertise in marketing/ product management disciplines
-Good experience in developing pricing strategies.
-Good experience working with financial principles and product line P&Ls.
-Business-to-business (B2B) environment experience with major customers such as large international companies is preferred.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
-Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
-Strong analytical and planning skills, coupled with accuracy and attention to details.
-Result driven, customer oriented and accountable.
-Experience with cultural differences of multinational / global company operating in China.
-Experience in matrix environment (reporting relationships, global vs. local requirements, working through peers and non-reporting line teams).
-Ability to interact with senior level management locally and globally.
-Lead New Product Development projects for areas of responsibility
-Analyze and track market and competitive information
-Other duties as required
-Must be willing and able to travel overnight and internationally (up to 25% of the time)
