Specific Description
-Take over the ownership of the legacy position/risk management application from third party vendors, including moving infrastructure, upgrading infrastructure and migration of production/development environments.
-Software development needed to retire the functionality of the legacy position/risk management application with the in-house application.
-Working closely with the Tokyo team to understand and the documentation including functional specifications and technical specifications.
Requirements
-Technical Skills / Experience
--Technologies: C++, VB6, Perl, Java, VBA, Csh, PHP, CGI, HTML
--Middleware: Orbix, Xwindow, NFS, Samba, RV4.2
--SQL (Oracle)
--Products - stocks, futures, options, OTC derivatives
--Market Data - basic understanding Reuters or Bloomberg, market and exchange feeds
--Applications: basic understanding of cash/derivatives position management and P&L calculation
--3+ years' experience of Cash or Derivatives IT, 3+ years of application support/development
--3rd Party or in-house position and risk management risk system
-Other Skill Requirements
--Highly developed investigation skills
--Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
--Flexible and self-starter, able to diagnose and troubleshoot application problems
--Organized, able to evaluate and manage priorities, able to handle ever-changing environment
--Punctual and reliable.
-Qualifications
--Degree holder or above
-Languages
--Fluent written and spoken English
--Japanese a plus
