POSITION: Project Scheduler
REPORTING TO: Project Manager
JOB PURPOSE: Coordinate the development, and take ownership of maintaining Project Schedule including liaising with project team and client to update and report against as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Establish Master Project programme (/schedule) in conjunction with project team
2. Establish detailed construction program and other short term programmes in conjunction with project team as required, ensuring they comply with Master programme.
3. Monitor and report progress performance for multiple contractors on this construction project
4. Identify as early as possible tasks which will take longer than originally planned and workshop ideas to meet original program
5. Clearly communicate any areas of schedule concern to upper management immediately
6. Filter subcontract and other parties’ tasks within scheduling tool and actively communicate with these parties to ensure they have a full understanding of their required tasks and the time in which to complete them
7. Continually review upcoming tasks with respect to coordination, buildability, safety and resources to minimise any issues which may affect the project
8. Maintain both short-term and long-term focus on site activities with regards to achieving project deadlines
9. Arranging print-out and distribution of updated programmes as required
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPEIRENCE REQUIREMENTS
· A recognized Degree in Engineering field
· At least 8 years experience on scheduling, preferably previous experience with foreign engineering companies, working on large industrial projects.
· Full knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques, such as work breakdown structure, working methodologies and resources management.
· Computer proficiency is a must, be familiar with MS Office, MS- Project, previous experience of using P3 will be a plus.
· Good command of both oral and written English
· An ability to work effectively in a team environment
· Ability to work under minimal supervision and (at times) under pressure.
· Ability to quickly comprehend and perform job request to a high standard.
· Well organised
· Hands on team player. Support and back up other staff members
