Our client is one of the biggest electronic components manufactures in the world. The main products are film capacitors, power factor correction capacitors, leaded resistors, energy resistors, strap and block resistors, ICL sensors and NTC sensors.

Report to: Head of R&D (Foreigner)
Subordinates: 3~5
Key Responsibilities:
In general is responsible to handle the Research and Development for the assigned products/customers and its interfaces with other departments and factories, targeting new products and customers, new applications, innovation, quality performance and cost reduction.
1. Research and Development. In charge of developing and adapting products and materials for new applications regarding heat, mechanical requirements and electrical stresses. Work to miniaturize components, develop/propose new processes to improve yield, reduce scraps and labor.
2. Implementation of new products/processes. In charge of elaborating and approving relative documentation (BOM, process minutes), parameters specification and confirmation, approve processes and products for mass production. Coordinate samples manufacturing and trial runs.
3. Rationalization. In charge of testing alternative materials and changes in product/process targeting cost reduction, propose and manage investments for rationalization, capacity expansion, process updating and so on.
4. Application. In charge of customer support for technical issues. Develop deep knowledge of the main application for the assigned products, participate with Global R&D in design in activities, troubleshooting and clearing doubts. Analyze defective and returned parts from customers in 8D-report basis. Analyze either new or state-of-the-art final products using the our product.
5. Technological reference. In charge of participating in new developments started in one of our oversea factories, analyze and rank competitors’ products, provide detailed specifications, features and properties of the product, search and keep records and papers about basic materials, application, failure analysis techniques and procedures.
6. Interfaces. In charge of interacting with Global R&D, QA, Production, Maintenance and Logistics in actions to reduce scraps and re-work production lead-time, materials and products/processes diversity. Support other departments in training and in continuous improvement activities. Provide technical support to Product Marketing activities, related to application, specifications and development of new products.
7. Ensure that the key performance indices in the department are under control, providing reports and planning/implementing actions to cover gaps.
8. Ensure that all activities in this area are performed according to approved instructions and documents.
9. Manage the team reporting to him/her to cope with their assigned responsibilities.
10. Comply with company regulation.
11. Comply with state laws and regulation.
12. Other job which arranged by the superiors.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree or above, majored in Engineering (Electric/Electronic preferred), Physics or related sciences.
2. Minimum five years’ experience of electronic components development, with film capacitor development background would be preferred.
3. Good English and Chinese Mandarin.
4. Good communication skills, to convey ideas and conduct technical discussions in both languages.
5. Usual knowledge of MS-OFFICE, AUTO-CAD basic.
6. Quality and Development tools (DOE, FMEA, 6 Sigma, and so on).
7. Laboratory equipment.
8. Active, self-initiative, mature, independent and of strong character.
9. Interpersonal communication, analytical thinking.
10. Leadership and team work orientation.
11. Personal integrity.
