Major Responsibilities:
? Implement and leverage BMS's Global Supplier agreements in close relationship with category leaders, ,Asia Pacific Indirect Procurement peers, and local business unit stakeholders.
? Lead Strategic Sourcing Projects including: profiling a category, developing sourcing strategy, generating supplier portfolios, defining and collecting appropriate information, negotiating with and selecting a supplier, gaining business acceptance and implementation.
? Consistently seeks new areas of cost reduction, demand containment, specification optimization and value enhancement across all aspects of the business. Measures & drives internal performance in respect of quality and costs to meet business productivity requirements.
? Ability to effectively communicate with respective customers and provide a high level of customer service. Can discuss issues as well as facts in a logical and compelling manner. Can persuade and influence others. Also able to communicate the necessity for internal control standards and compliance procedures related to sourcing activities.
? Ability to analyze purchasing requirements of assigned client group in order to identify savings opportunities and independently develops detailed and actionable recommendations and implementation plans.
? Uses good judgment in setting and revising priorities; is realistic in making commitments based on priorities. Takes responsibility for results and is personally committed to achieving the objectives of the business.
? Identify opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness throughout the sourcing and procurement processes. Substantiate with appropriate data extraction, validation and analysis.
? Is a valued team contributor, understands the overall team goals and works beyond his/her defined role within the team to ensure the entire team's success. Builds and actively seeks to develop relationships with other departments, functions and external stakeholders.
? Has a good understanding of basic and advanced negotiations; develops a fact-based strategy; can respond appropriately to unanticipated situations. Routinely develops creative sourcing strategies that optimize total value; Employs a variety of sourcing strategies (e.g. leverage, partnership).
? Participate on regional GP led SRC( Source Recommendation Committee) and SSC ( Supply Strategy Councils) as appropriate
? Leverage GP's current suite of e-Sourcing Tools eg: Express Frictionless Sourcing (web based RFP's/Auctions/Project tracking)
? Customer Alignment
? Develop effective working relationships with key departmental staff and business unit leadership
? Provide updates/progress reviews of Global Procurement projects to key business unit leaders as appropriate
? Close working with local Finance team regarding alignment with GP and Finance initiatives ensuring that savings & productivity improvements are captured and validated
? Policies / Procedures.
? Strictly follow all local policies & procedures
? Strictly follow new Purchasing Policy
? As needed process Purchase Orders and maintain file of relevant backup documentation
Qualification Requirement:
? Bachelor degree with major in Business Administration or related, MBA is preferred also CPM .
? 5+ years Procurement experience working in multi-national companies
? Previous knowledge and experience in indirect sourcing and purchasing (Media Buy/Creative/Market Research/Gimmicks/Printing) is a desirable
? Good command of English both in writing and speaking
? Good computer skills in Microsoft applications and SAP
? Good interpersonal skills
? Ability to collaborate and effectively work in teams
? Ability to prioritize & solve problems independently
? High level of integrity, judgment and adherence to BMS company code of business ethics
