Title: Senior IT Manager - EPMS, Asia

Report to:

Onsite: EPMS Asia Operations VP.

Functional: VP IT EPMS

Position Focus:

Manufacturing Operations Management from an IT perspective in the Asia Pacific region.

• Serve as a member of the EPMS Asia IT leadership team. Represents IT on Lear Manufacturing Operations reviews and planning sessions.

• Responsible for overall IT coordination and planning for new plant start ups,new program start ups, facility relocations and consolidations.

· Coordinates launch activities with EDI Coordinator, Information Systems Director, Program and Project Managers, Country Managers and plant IT personnel.

• Performs the role of manufacturing subject matter expert.

• Execute IT strategy in Asia aligned with corporate and divisional strategies for technology infrastructure, information systems architecture, common applications.

• Manage IT activity with Joint Ventures as required.

• Travel as required to Lear sites, customer or suppliers facilities for leadership meetings, management gateway reviews (MGR), technical workshops, technology benchmarks and training courses.

Manage the IT investment

• Ensure timely, cost effective, reliable delivery of IT services and projects
• Participate in the IT planning, budgeting and organization processes including the following: develop and maintain local procedures; install and validate systems; maintain automated solutions; define and manage service levels; manage third-party services; manage budgets and spending
• Go to locations as required to directly understand progress and problems
• Ensure funding and control disbursement of financial resources for IT
• Manage vendor/supplier contracts and relationships as it relates to provision of IT services to Lear Manufacturing facilities.

• Manage human resources

  • Assess, develop and upgrade talent to increase the organizational capability and value of IT
  • Develop and maintain a motivated and competent workforce

  Manage IT governance, risk, and controls

  • Ensure compliance with Lear internal controls requirements: risk assessment, controls design and monitoring
  • Meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations
  • Coordinate activity with Asia and division IT leadership and follow Lear technology, application and practice standards
  Responsible for the accomplishment of all the mandatory internal procedures and regulations established by Lear, especially those in relation to Health, Safety and Environment, Confidentiality and the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics;

Scope: The scope includes the Lear EPMS manufacturing locations in the Asia Pacific region currently including China, India, Philippines, Thailand, Korea, Japan, and Singapore and other possible further additions;

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, industrial engineering or business is required.

Requires 10 years experience in IT and 3+ years in a manager position with an emphasis on manufacturing.

Significant experience with manufacturing companies (global, multi-national companies preferred)

Automotive experience a plus

Experience in leading and working on teams across countries and cultures

Experience working in a matrix organization environment

Fluent in English, Mandarin will be a plus

Clear, effective oral and written communication and presentation skills

Ability to effectively, persuasively and with appropriate conviction present views to division and headquarters management

High percentage of travel time due to regional footprint

Represents Lear with customers and suppliers when required.

Strong teamwork, leadership and influencing skills
