Educational Consultant - Shanghai
Our client is a leading educational group worldwide. We are looking for a well-rounded Educational Consultant with strong background in college consulting. The position is based in Shanghai.
Key Responsibilities:
? Assure delivery of a comprehensive university advising program for students and parents through both individual and small group meetings, staff training, and school operations.
? Help students with university research. Guide and assist students through the application process.
? Educate students and parents on the university admission tests and the preparation required for tests. E.g. SAT, TOEFL, AP, etc.
? Arrange student visits to college tours or study programs abroad.
? Maintain an ongoing knowledge about university admissions issues by developing a strong network among university counseling and admission professionals.
? Arrange and attend professional development activities such as university fairs, university tours, etc. Provide updated university related information to students, parents and staff and serve as an expert resource to students.
? Contribute to regular newsletters and updates for students and families.
? Assist teachers in writing letters of reference appropriate to the receiving university.
? Maintain budget Write quarterly reports and provide data/statistics on academic and admission progress of all students.
Qualifications:
? US/UK/Canada degree level qualification, teaching qualification and minimum of 3 years teaching and/or counseling experience
? Excellent operational knowledge of all the requirements of the US/UK/Canada College Admissions system
? Experience of teaching and/or tutoring and/or counseling at a school
? Enthusiasm for working with adolescents and their parents is essential
? Proficient English skills, both oral and written
? Excellent communication and coordination skills
? Highly flexible, able to handle multitasking and fast paced environment.
