 -Responsible of the successful launches and engineering changes introductions up to 90 days after SOP 

-To assure that the right information its being received from the commercial team for new programs and engineering changes (PIM, Drawings, part/warp list, tolerances, specifications, customer specific requirements, etc.)

-To receive from PD/Engineering area the preliminary HOB for new processes

- To keep updated the APQP projects status file

-To create and keep updated the launch & engineering changes timelines by program

-To coordinate and control the development and implementation of new programs and engineering changes 

-To plan and coordinate the preparation of pre-production and special orders 

- To coordinate meetings with the core team for the deployment and follow-up of new programs and engineering changes 

-To ensure the right compliance of each APQP phase and the proper follow-up of open items and findings

-To ensure the right fulfilling of every APQP Gate from 1 to 4

-To create the model structure based on the part list, leather kit matrix, bill of material and leather attachment reviewed versus the detail sheet

-To review and update the JDE/SAP information according each product/customer requirements, i.e.: WO’s, packing, labels, etc. 

-To hold the kick-off meetings for pre-production events, involving the multidisciplinary team 

-To coordinate resources to run and validate all pre-production events 

-Daily follow-up in the shop floor of all pre-production events

- To fulfil daily the pre-launch orders follow-up format

- To facilitate information requested by the corporate office and other GST plants during the launch period  

-Review drawings/CAD information for new programs and engineering changes before its release to production 

-To input the cutting dies and new technologies tooling requisitions and to keep their tracking until its release to production

-To submit standard packaging proposal to the customer to get approved

- To train the production teams for new programs, engineering changes and transfers 

-To receive from Process Engineering the usage of foam and direct materials

- To keep an open communication with the customer regarding specifications and materials performance

- To store in the server all the information related to the APQP

-To update APQP indicators on a monthly basis and generate all reports needed

-PPAP documentation, under APQP coordinator responsibility, delivery to the quality area for customer submission 

-To follow-up the PPAP submission from quality team to ensure its accomplishment on time 

- Once the APQP phases are concluded, the notification of release to production must be done for new programs

- To share daily the launch scorecard for those programs recently launched during the first 90 days of production

-To achieve the IATF 16949 / VDA 6.3 requirements; regarding documentation, work instructions and procedures to ensure the continuous achievement of the quality system

 

 

Skills/Qualifications:

Four-year degree with 1-3 years' experience in APQP systems

Technical knowledge in terms of leather, cutting and VAP’s

IATF16949/VDA 6.3 knowledge

Leadership

Must be able to work with multiple teams and have group management skills

Must possess a proactive attitude
