Job Title: Process Engineer (Exterior)

Reports to: PM&PE Manager (Exterior)

Working Location: Shanghai Minhang and Jiangsu Gaoyou

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Dura is seeking a Process Engineer to perform various routine and less complex standard engineering duties related to the planning and design of new products, improving manufacturing methods and initiating design changes for cost effectiveness with a limited exercise of judgment. Some of the requirements of the Process Engineer are but not limited to the following:

• Experience conducting part feasibility assessment based on drawings and/or CAD

• Fluent understanding of GD&T

• Experience reviewing supplier quotes for feasibility and cost

• Lead design approval process in accordance with Dura APQP process

• Act as the technical expert on the problem solving team

• Ability to work independently and with groups

• Excellent communication with internal and external customers as well as peers and management.

• Self-motivated and comfortable working with broad direction

JOB REQUIREMENTS - GENERAL SKILLS:

• Good understands Stretchbending, Milling, Polishing, Robotics and Assembly

• Understands complete knowledge and functions of tools

• Understands Importance of Preventive Maintenance

• Understands Basic GD&T

• Develop a Microsoft Project presentation

• Develop a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to organize and analyze data

• Understands basic check fixture designs and functions

Open CAD files in Spinfire, Solid Works or equivalent to measure component features

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education - Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field (Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred)

• Experience - Three (3) to eight (8) years of related experience. Additional education may be substituted for experience and vice versa.
