Requirements:
As a high visibility role in the organization, the person Requires in depth knowledge of applications for the illumination markets from inception through obsolescence.
A BS degree in electrical engineering, optics or Physics and 10+ years of lighting or display applications and project management experience is required
Requirements include in-depth knowledge of lighting applications and a solid understanding of LED and LED light engines design and manufacturing.
Must be able to interface and work closely with customers and the headquarter sales and marketing team and be able to communicate with the rest of the applications team in San Jose.
Will represent the Company point of view to customers and the sales team in China.
Interface with vendors and CMs as part of system integration projects in China.
Must be fluent in English and Mandarin and have strong project management skills,
The position also requires strong leadership, people and strong language and communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and to communicate effectively with customers and within the organization.
The position requires the ability to travel a minimum of 50% of the time

Job Descriptions:
With in-depth knowledge of LED system and LED engine requirements for product development and manufacturing, must be capable of leading the development of LED level 1, 2 and 3 products,
Must be capable of leading remote teams and have strong technical and group leadership skills,
Must have a clear understanding of project management using cross-functional teams and have strong skills in supporting customers in areas of quality, manufacturing and cost reductions.
Must be able to manage multiple activities (projects) at the same time, secure the timely release of applications designs, be able to set priorities, coordinate resource planning and interface with the applications team and sales support teams in San Jose as well as other internal customers.
Mentor and grow team members.
Organizing review meetings on applications projects, presenting to customers and the management team and supporting quality and customer audits.
Enforce high moral standards and business practices.
