Role Objective
? To provide expertise and guidance to suppliers making sure that they maintain manufacturing processes for Mila products that consistently and efficiently deliver products that meet quality standards,

Responsibilities
? Advise suppliers on the set up of new production processes, regarding efficiency, reliability and cost, including signing off those processes as part of the new product introduction process
? Work with suppliers to develop jigs, fixtures and assembly equipment that are suitable and appropriate for Mila product production
? In conjunction with the Project Engineer, agree with suppliers product specification and manufacturing tolerances, and communicate these internally and externally
? Make sure that suppliers produce proper manufacturing process control plans for new products and that these are thorough and effectively implemented
? Undertake manufacturing process FMEA (failure mode and effect analysis) or similar problem solving techniques with suppliers for new products as required by Mila product development teams
? Assist suppliers with quality or manufacturing problems arising from the manufacturing process or equipment
? Implement continuous improvement activities at suppliers
? Work with the Project Engineer and Quality Manager on supplier assessments and audits
? Responsible for setting up and managing local batch testing activities

Requirement
? Educated to degree level or higher technical standard in manufacturing or quality management
? Practical experience of quality management tools (Kaizan, 5S or similar)
? Good verbal & written English skills
? Practical experience in manufacturing operations
? Basic working knowledge of hardware manufacturing process
? Good computer skills
? Understands formal quality management systems such as ISO 9000

? Proactive, self motivated and capable of working on own initiative
? Confident to communicate at all levels within Mila and at the supplier
? Confident to work in multi-discipline team environment
