Requirements:
Experience in a supervisory position would be highly advantageous, as would the ability to
effectively delegate tasks, and manage changing priorities and high workloads.
Knowledge and experience of IT Service Management disciplines, particularly Incident
Management (including Service Requests), Problem Management, and Change Management would be advantageous.
A strong understanding of a wide variety of computer equipment and software Ability to evaluate critical systems, prioritize work and determine solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to interpret and apply regulations, and policies
Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to listen and explain solutions to nontechnical users in a concise manner
Must be able to share knowledge readily and recognize own need to learn
Experience with Active Directory Group Policies
Experience with scripting languages to automate tasks
Experience with PC image creation and maintenance
Ability to organize work in an efficient manner to excel in an interrupted environment
Must have the ability to troubleshoot hardware and software problems
Experience in installing server and desktop hardware, PC applications and customizing configurations.
Support a minimum of 80 users with an array of technology needs.
Experience configuring servers, desktops, laptops and printers/copiers/scanners to participate on the LAN.
Experience supporting Microsoft Office Professional Suites (2003/2007/2010), Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec Endpoint Security, VPN, Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003/2008, Group Policy, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, KMS, Remote Desktop, Domain Trusts.
A working knowledge of these technologies: Lotus Notes, Gmail, remote access, PDAs, Android phone, Smart Phones and combinations thereof, system security techniques, SAP, Internet and Web technologies, Avaya VOIP telephone systems, MPLS and Video Conferencing
Minimum of three to five years increasingly responsible experience in a user-oriented environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related degree, or equivalent technical education and work experience.
Job Descriptions:
Manages the deployment of appropriate security patches, hot fixes and software updates
Manages licenses for all operating-system-related software
Manages the desktop environment using Group Policies in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory Environment (Windows Server 2003, 2008, etc)
Participates in the development of policies, procedures and resources that standardize the functioning of the systems
Keeps up-to-date inventory and documentation of applications, systems and network equipment
Enforces IT standards and educates employees about compliance issues
Manages user accounts for employee hires, changes and terminations
Responds to support requests for network assistance
Installs, tests and maintains a variety of server, computing and software systems
Assists user community in software and hardware problem resolution
Keeps up to date with current trends and is prepared to make recommendations
Produces support documentation and SOPs
Manage IT changes effectively and efficiently, ensuring that the impact of IT changes are understood, communicated, and are able to be regressed if necessary.
Other duties as assigned
