Role Summary/Purpose
Reporting to COE leader, the SAP Process Integration Lead will be responsible for lead SAP process for all business processes. The candidate will establish operating rhythm with Program Managers/Project Managers/Global Process Leaders to collaborate on projects /opportunities for simplification/standardization.
Essential Responsibilities
? Provide SAP Process Integration middleware 7.3 expertise; Knowledge in IBM i, DB2, SAP NetWeaver, ECC, GRC, PI, BI, APO, Portal, and Solution Manager; Environment is a 7x24 global operation requiring on-call and weekend work.
? Provide advanced level technical support, problem analysis, and issue resolution in the SAP Basis layer and SAP application interaction with the OS and database.
? Plan and schedule system patching activities and work with GAMS Basis team to test and implement.
? Proactively work to improve system health, performance, and availability using IBM and SAP tools.
? Monitor and administer replication between production and HA/DR environments; work with GIS on the MIMIX DB2 replication; own DoubleTake replication for the SAP Content Server; plan and participate in periodic switch tests. ? Define technical solutions, explore alternative business and technology approaches, prepare functional and crossfunctional design and test documents, and explain the business and technical architecture to sponsors and stakeholders.
? Coordinate and participate in system and client refreshes.
? Ensure integrity of the SAP systems through proper authorization and configuration of Basis (NetWeaver) components using GRC Access Control.
? Proactively work with project teams, SAP, and IBM to resolve technical issues; champion closure on technical issues related to infrastructure, technical configuration, performance, and availability.
? Provide project support including new system installs and existing system clones.
? Create and manage system connections across the SAP landscape and with external systems.
? Work closely with SAP Operations Leader, GAMS Technical Manager, and project teams to achieve business goals and align SAP and IBM technology with stated direction.
? Monitor SAP technology and solution trends to incorporate relevant technology within the business; provide guidance, coordination, and technical domain expertise in IBM and SAP technical areas to project and Basis teams.
? Administer SAP licenses and usage audits, including SoX related audits.
? Design authorization roles; work with provider to implement authorizations. Implementation knowledge on SAP GRC Access Control and configuration of SoX controls.
? Manage updates to and distribution of the SAP client (SAPgui).
? Work closely with the support partner in the management and resolution of help desk tickets.
? Perform other operating system, database, and SAP system administration tasks necessary to ensure the health of the system landscape.
Qualifications/Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with minimum 8+ years of IBM iSeries system administration and/or SAP Basis work experience.
? Proven experience in installing, configuring, and administering operating systems and databases (IBM i and DB2 preferred).
? Proven experience in installing, configuring, and administering Enterprise class applications (SAP preferred). ? Strong written and oral communication skills. Highly motivated, self-starter.
? Ability to quickly identify and analyze technical risks and impacts; define alternatives and prioritizations to remove technical roadblocks.
Desired Characteristics
? SAP Business Suite 7.0 and above, including ECC, GRC, PI, BI, Portal, and Solution Manager & CHARM.
? Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (GE only).
? SAP on IBM i and DB2 administration experience.
? SAP rollout experience.
? Strong exposure to data migration and data quality.
? Ability to review solutions across multiple SAP modules and evaluate overall process capabilities by providing written assessments and recommendations.
? A mix of functional and technical expertise including the ability to coordinate with Business Process Leaders, IM Project Leaders, customizers, and ABAP developers to trouble-shoot issues.
? Experience working directly with SAP to troubleshoot and resolve SAP issues.
? Working knowledge of SAP Service Marketplace and logging OSS messages.
? Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager.
? Ability to work on multiple tasks in parallel.
? Able to travel overseas for work and experience in working with multi-cultural, geographically diverse teams
