Requirements:
Bachelors Degree, a related technical degree is preferred
At least five years of working experience in relevant fields
Experienced in a team-work environment, preferably in a global operation
Experience in a supervisory position with subordinate(s) may be required
Trainings in Lean, Six-sigma, ISO quality audit, FDA regulations, CPM/CPIM, Project Management and etc. will be a plus.
Forward-looking, Data- and process-oriented and Customer-oriented
Good people skill; ability to influence with good good communication skills
Good analytic skills and negotiation skills
Able to set SMART goals and lead efforts to achieve
Fluent in both oral and written English.

Responsibility:
Develop and execute sourcing strategy for the assigned commodities in Asia-Pacific to meet business objectives.
Systematically survey, evaluate, and develop potential suppliers in Asian-Pacific countries
Establish platform to encourage manufacturing process improvements and new technologies benchmarking
Plan and lead supplier negotiations
Organize sourcing events such as VA/VE, bidding, commodity reviews, and etc.; coordinate supplier-related activities such as quality audits, NPD early-involvement, technical discussions, and etc.
Build strategic supplier relationships and manage the relationship to enhance best performance - Cost, Delivery, and Quality
Lead meetings with Category Buyers at plants to update progresses and communicate needs
Understand the business objectives, communicate in forms of SMART goals to the team, and gain commitments
Develop talents; encourage motivated abilities, coach, provide training, and/or discipline negative contributions
Ensure suppliers are performing to expectations utilizing quantified performance matrix, such as DPPM, on-time rate, PPV, and etc.
Maintain RFQs, pricing, and contracts with suppliers.
Ensure clear communication channels between suppliers and Invacare functions, such as Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, and Quality.
Provide inputs to the global commodity team, keep team member updated with progress and status of Asian suppliers
Be responsible for own (or team) expenses and manage team workload and team budget.
Understand the financial impact to business objectives from factors of market trends (e.g. material costs, currency, labor rates, fuel, and etc.) and policies (government regulations, duty rates, trade agreements, and etc.); assess the risks and propose solutions
Understands and utilizes ISO techniques where applicable to achieve plants' production and quality objectives. Drive self, team member(s) if assigned, and suppliers for continued improvement in quality assurance.
