Position Summary

Claire's is seeking an Information Technology Supervisor of Claire's China,based in Shanghai.

As a member of the Claire's Global IT team, the IT Supervisor is expected to implement the global IT strategy as it pertains to Claire's China, and to represent the interests of the Claire's China business in the development of the global IT strategy.

The IT Supervisor will be responsible for all IT operations and technical services for the Claire's Shanghai office. S/he will also coordinate all IT tasks related to new store openings, and will work with third-party service providers to ensure quality technical support of the IT infrastructure in existing stores.

The successful candidate should have relevant experience in coordinating the activities of third-party service and equipment providers, IT procurement, Windows Domain Administration, Email Administration, Network Administration, Telephony, and support of Windows desktops, laptops, and applications.

Major Responsibilities

• Shanghai Office

- Provide day-to-day operation and technical support for the servers,LAN,and telephone systems.

- Ensure system integrity by performing backups of key systems,servers,and user data,including off-site storage of backup media.

- Provide day-to-day support for desktop computers,laptops,printers,and mobile devices and associated software.

- Assist in identifying quality and cost-effective in-country providers of IT equipment and services.

- Order,install,and deploy new desktop computers,laptops,printers,and mobile devices and associated software,based on corporate standards,policies,and procendures.

- Provide day-to-day support of video and audio conference facilities.

- Perform routine administrative tasks for network security, Active Directory,Lotus Notes,and the telephone system.

• Stores

- Schedule and coordinate the timely installation of telecommunications circuits and equipment in new stores, providing direct assistance when required.

- Provide day-to-day third-level telecommunications support for China stores, including telecom and phone lines, routers,modems,etc.,working with third-party providers of first- and second-level support.

- Provide day-to-day support for the users of other installed store systems,such as CCTV,ShopperTrak,and digital signage,not to include POS.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION: KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

• 4-year degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline preferred.
• 3+ years experience in server-based IT operations and technical services.
• 3+ years experience with key IT technologies required: Windows and Windows Server,Active Directory, MS-Office,and LAN.
• Experience with Lotus Notes, Cisco networks, Cisco VOIP, Cicso/Tandberg video conferencing, Symantec Anti-virus, Symantec Backup Exec, Blackberry, and Apple OSX and IOS is desired.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix-management environment.
• Passion and empathy for IT customers; insatiable desire to surprise and delight them.
• Good communication skills in both Mandarin and English.
• Highly motivated to succeed and to work effectively with the rest of the global IT team to achieve or exceed the company's strategic goals.
