职位描述

1 Job Summary:
Under guidance from Operations Management, responsible for coordinating, monitoring, supervising and executing the activities of one or more departments. May act as a liaison between production Supervision and Management on shifts where management is not present. Ensures that departmental goals are achieved by communicating established objectives. Communicates overall organizational directives made by upper management. Provides input to other production Supervisors and management regarding individual team member performance. Maximizes employee participation to achieve the desired team approach. Assists in the development of departmental personnel to enhance skills, improve responsiveness, and promote business growth.

2 Duties and Responsibilities:
2.1 Ensures that employees are at work on time, actively engaged in their assigned departments and conforming to established safety regulations. Ensures that all company policies are followed. Provides immediate performance feedback or counseling as required to resolve employee conflicts, assisting in short-term resolution of emergency situations (e.g., injuries), safety issues, attendance issues, conduct, etc. In emergency type situations will recommend course of corrective action to Production Manager. Provides input to Production Manager for reporting reasons on manufacturing/production, employee performance/conduct and process flow. Administers supervisory responsibilities for manufacturing personnel, including selection, hiring, training, feedback on performance evaluations, corrective action, and work schedules. At times will require additional assistance from other production Supervisors and/or Production s Manager in difficult decision-making situations. At times will be responsible for scheduling and participating in departmental meetings. May process hourly payroll and ensure that time and attendance for assigned employees is accurate in data collection system. Will need to be able to handle multiple responsibilities at one time and must be able to deal effectively with people using a facilitative approach.
2.2 Works with other production Supervisors, Planners and Work Coordinators to ensure that departmental goals are achieved. Supervises employees by giving them direction and work assignments. Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignment. Coordinates and executes established activities of department(s) to ensure that goals are met (i.e., moving employees around to other manufacturing/production areas, pulling resources, maintenance issues, etc.). At times will need assistance from Production Manager because any decisions made or failure to achieve results will cause delays in schedules. Works with various support functions (e.g., Production Manager, Engineering, Maintenance, etc.) to resolve production problems. Provides feedback to Engineering and management on the equipment operation and production effectiveness (road blocks and positives).
2.3 Receives assignments/projects in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. These assignments/projects are generally smaller in scale. Examples of such projects/assignments may include reducing a specific part number for inventory reasons, working to improve CRD for a specific customer, housekeeping initiatives, safety improvements, Quality/PPM, CRD, or inventory.
2.4 Coordinate with Maintenance activities.
2.5 Other responsibility assigned by his/her supervisor.

3 Authority:
3.1 Deviations from established departmental schedules as needed
3.2 Quality decisions
3.3 Work assignment decisions based upon manpower levels, production plan and equipment status
3.4 May make judgment call on overtime needs
3.5 May make time off decisions
3.6 Recruiting/Hiring Decisions

4 Job Specifications
4.1 General requirements:
4.1.1 High School diploma or equivalent with four (4) to six (6) years of shop-related work experience
4.1.2 High level of skill and knowledge in manufacturing/production operations with demonstrated ability to function in a leadership role
4.1.3 Preferred proficiency in SAP as it relates to time and attendance, material transactions, etc.
4.1.4 Must have excellent communication skills
4.1.5 Personal Computer, various office equipment
