职位描述

Job Summary:
The Asia based Textile Developer will be the point person in Asia for the Burlington, VT based Textile Manager. The Textile Manager will be responsible for day to day tracking and approval of textiles as well as communicating directly with the mills to ensure timely delivery of sample, bulk and development fabrics. This person will need to develop a close working relationship with the mills through strong email communication and site visits so as to mitigate quality and delivery issues.

Responsibility: (Essential Functions)

Color
- Solid lab dip approvals and tracking.
- Ability to work on a web hosted tracking platform.
- Maintain an organized and transparent lab dip tracking spreadsheet.
- Communicate with the mills to ensure timely delivery of lab dips.
Greige
- Communicate with the mills directly to track SMS fabric delivery.
- Build and maintain an up to date greige delivery tracker.
Costing
- Communicate with the mills directly to request costing upon request.
- Update the Master Fabric Tracker with updated costing.
Proto Yardage
- Use the Master Fabric Tracker to request proto yardage from the mills.
- Communicate directly with the mills and factories to coordinate delivery in a timely manner.
Trade Shows
- Be a resource when Manager travels to trade shows.
- Help to coordinate delivery of new collections.
Factory Direct
- Be available to travel to factory direct textile suppliers in order to assist in communication and development.
Other duties as assigned.


Requirement:
- 3years college or above education, major in textile/Fabric field.
- 3 years'+ experience in textile, garment fields, good understanding of textiles and garment development is a plus.
- Good command of MS office (Outlook, excel etc. ) is a must; Adobe Creative Suite a positive.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken is a must. Strong email communication and a grasp of the English language; Fluency in Mandarin is required
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures in English and Chinese governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in English and Chinese.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Organizational Savvy, Dependability, Analytical Skill, Initiative, good problem solving ability, cooperation and teamwork spirit.
