Job Summary and Mission
This position contributes to Starbucks success by working with customers in almost every department in every region where Starbucks does business, understanding how each uses master data in systems and business processes. The master data administrator supports master data maintenance, resolving complex system and process issues and participates as a subject matter expert in projects that impact master data across the enterprise. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Understands the key business processes and goals of our customers/business channels
- Apply master data management best practices / industry standards to daily activities
- Educate partners globally about our systems, tools, and processes that touch master data
- Building strong relationships with the key customers of MDIO including SCO, Marketing/Category, Store Development, Retail Operations, Finance, Accounting, CPG, SBC, Foodservice, Licensed Stores, and Information Technology
- Represent the business needs of all master data consumers globally when changes or enhancements are requested.
- Analyze and challenge business decisions where there is a risk of damaging the value of master data or underutilizing the tools, systems, and processes Starbucks has invested in.
- Influence, advise and inform to improve how we run our business especially when master data is involved.
- Partner with IT to prioritize, design, test and implement master data system enhancements.
- Assess the impacts of system enhancements and develop supporting business processes.
- Act as an escalation point to resolve master data issues that prevent us from running business effectively.
- Act as a master data expert at Starbucks, including having detailed knowledge about master data attributes and their use in both downstream systems and processes.
- Champion and enforce data governance and stewardship across the enterprise.
- Establish trust and inspire others to value master data.
- Creation and maintenance of training documentation and reference materials
- Provide training to users across the enterprise on master data systems, processes, and standards

岗位要求
Summary of Experience
- Experience with key business systems used across the enterprise (Oracle - preferred) 1-2 year
- Experience with master data in an ERP context 1-2 years
- Deep knowledge of source system and processes relative to at least one master data file 1-2 years
- Maintaining large volumes of complex data and ensuring data integrity 1-2 years
- Experience extracting and manipulating data 1-2 years

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree, Accounting or Supply Chain preferred
- Fluent spoken and written English skill
- Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities
- Strong technical and design skills, with the ability to match systems to business needs
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Detail oriented with a particular focus on continuous improvement and quality results
- Ability to articulate how master data is foundational to Starbucks processes, including a detailed understanding of connections across master data files
- Ability to perform root cause analysis on data integrity issues and recommend solutions
- Able to create and run complex queries and reports
- Ability to handle issues with limited direction and document results
- Proficient in MS Office Suite with emphasis in MS Excel skills (i.e. Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc)
