Purpose

The purpose of the above job is to provide end to end Tier 3 support for the Alcatel-Lucent WCDMA OAM solution.

Description for the role

In this role you will be responsible for providing OAM support for the ALU WCDMA UTRAN network for all commercial customers and trials performing initial triage and debugging for field reported issues and then raise the appropriate ticket for Development investigation. Tier 3 24/7 hotline cover is also provided by all members of the GPS Team on a rotational basis to support any customer outages.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent debugging knowledge to OAM products to wireless networks and an extensive Solaris/Linux and database management background. Having strong skills to undertake root cause analysis and present the results to customers.

Provide Technical Support for the customer’s network in a professional and efficient way to ensure a long-term business relation and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Area :

• Analyse customer tickets from Tier 2 support and assist with troubleshooting
• Recreate the issues in the lab environment to provide development with the correct analysis to debug the issue
• Able to prepare test environments, including monitoring equipment to find the root cause of customer issues
• Provide 24/7 Tier 3 outage support where you will be working against the clock in front of the customer to resolve the outage
• Attend internal calls with development / test to discuss issues and provide feedback
• Work with Systems Engineers to understand requirements to address issues
• Ensure the technical integrity of OAM products WCDMA UTRAN network.
• Resolve customer trouble tickets and provide them with technical support.
• Onsite support in customer network if needed

Person Specification

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• OAM product to wireless network knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of the Linux, Solaris management
• Knowledge of network management
• Knowledge of database management
• Knowledge on shell scripting
• Bachelor Degree (or above) in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technologies
• Good communication skills of oral, written in both English and Chinese.
