Responsibilities & Deliverables
Analysis & Insight:
? Discuss briefs with client contacts striving to make them more issue driven and less prescriptive
? Prepare and deliver presentations, demonstrating personal credibility and showing value for money from KWP services purchased
? Consistent evidence of personal insight delivery and ensuring that team begin to ‘add insight’ to information
? Draw from all KWP services purchased in order to provide clients with a wider context, and where possible reference other studies clients have conducted
? The ongoing exploration and delivery includes expert solution, OOH, food usage panel
? Manage high profile or larger projects making sure that key milestones are hit, appropriate resource is available and that the client is kept up to date at all times
? Seek out new insight from colleagues, making sure that clients are exposed to our best and latest thinking on key topics
? Review presentations given by your team and ensure that recommendations are grounded in reality and can be supported by the data shown
Client Handling:
? Prepare proposals both in response to client briefs and proactively, follow up and close these proposals in order to achieve revenue targets
? Manage and monitor client satisfaction with respect to quality, speed and volume of data, account resource & contractual obligations
? Identify revenue gaps and plans for closing these over the course of the year, communicating status and priorities both upwards and downwards
? Overall accountability for all client interaction (both client service and information)
? Ensure our service is continually developing to reflect improvements and changing client needs
Client Relationship:
? Maintain a network of contacts at the client site and develop a plan to extend that network with a particular focus on meeting budget holders & decision makers
? Build a personal reputation as someone who can genuinely bring insightful contributions to client projects and whose opinion should be sought out
? Closely monitor client satisfaction encouraging honest two way feedback and not avoiding difficult issues
? Understand what the client’s overall goals and objectives are, and the role that different departments and individuals are playing in achieving these
? Maintain a dialogue with key client stakeholders about their ongoing hot topics ensuring that KWP is helping to inform their thinking
Service Development:
? Highlight and escalate client concerns with any Worldpanel services to aid senior management with prioritizing investment and development efforts
? Proactively seek and share intelligence from clients about other services they purchase and their current or future needs which could be met with Worldpanel developments
? Seek out information about new KWP tools and services and drive the introduction of these into client businesses
? Identify creative ways to use multiple Kantar data sources, with a particular focus on protecting ‘weaker’ services by increasing their frequency of use
Team, People & Self Development:
? Attend relevant training and seek out opportunities to grow knowledge about our industry, clients and capabilities
? Be responsible for 100% completion of objectives and appraisals for all individuals in your team with personal involvement in ensuring the quality of reviews as appropriate
? Build relationships with peers and internal experts, stretching beyond your immediate team across the wider division
? Give feedback, both praising and identifying things which could be improved. Tackle performance issues in a professional and timely fashion
? Mentor team members, helping to build confidence and awareness of their own personal strengths and motivations and what this means for their medium term career planning
? Coach and train line reports and other team members, sharing knowledge and encouraging a culture of learning. Help individuals in your team understand how they are each contributing to the achievement of the KWP vision and strategy
? Maintain succession plans for the team, proactively identifying individuals who would benefit from fresh challenges or increased responsibility and helping them find out about suitable opportunities. Encourage open communication and provide information about realistic career aspirations
? Identify talent within your team and ensure it is appropriately nurtured
Attitude, skills, knowledge required
? Proven experience managing a team(s) and projects to achieve and to grow account revenue in a commercial environment
? A strong research practitioner with substantial experience manipulating and analyzing data to provide recommendations and insight
? Cope well with time pressure and make decisions under complex and demanding circumstances
? Meet people with ease and motivate them to seek opportunities and achieve high standards
? A proactive and balanced approach to meeting and exceeding the changing needs of internal and external clients
? Verbal and written communication skills are as a presenter, influencer and coach
? Remain confident when dealing with negative situations as well as encouraging others to come up with imaginative solutions to difficult problems
? Solve problems creatively and seek opportunities for improvement and development
? Be alert to changing situations, show flexibility in approach, adaptability in difficult circumstances and continuously strive to achieve a result
