About This Job:
Syngenta Biotechnology China (SBC) is seeking a highly motivated associate to be part of its Genome Editing Centre, as a member in Editing Technology and Analysis Group. This person will be a key member to accomplish research objectives and deliver genome editing technology development to crop R&D teams
The accountabilities are as follows,
?Designing and implementing molecular biology experiments or production
?Providing in-depth technical expertise on moelcular analysis for improvements of major crops
?Managing multiple tasks and actively interacting with scientists within SBC
?Maintaining accurate experimental records and performing all activities in compliance with Syngenta quality management and HSE guidelines
Qualifications
Essential Knowledge & Experience:
?Deep knowledge on molecular analysis and method development and validation
?Broad knowledge on vector construction, vector quality control, gene detection, RNA expression, and protein assays
General knowledge in crop improvements via genomic editng as a plus, but not required
?Direct experience in experimental design and execution to analyze transgenic plants
?Experience in development and validation of molecular analysis method preferred
Solid records in molecular technology developments
?Good scientific task planning, execution and reporting skills
?Excellent skills with molecular biology techniques and genetics
Qualifications:
?PhD or MS with multiple year experience in molecular biology, genetics, and biotechnology
?Highly motivated, result oriented, and a good team player
?Flexible in handling task changes and consistently deliver in a rapidly changing environment
Proficient in English and strong communication skills to interact with scientists
?Self-motivated and drive for excellence
?Being flexible and capable of dealing with changes
?Being open-minded and collaborative
Customer focused and result oriented
Additional Information:
?Early morning or late evening teleconference is required to interact with global colleagues
?Role based in Beijing, China
