Job Location:

The position is located in Novo Nordisk Research Center China (NNRCC) at Beijing Zhongguancun life Science Park.

Company introduction:

Novo Nordisk Research Center China (NNRCC) is one of the biggest R&D centers set up by multinational pharmaceuticals companies in China. It is an integrated part of Novo Nordisk’s R&D organization, focusing on the innovative research to develop novel drugs for the treatment of diabetes, obesity, hemophilia, growth disorder and inflammatory diseases. Currently, the R&D center has more than 200 employees including ~70 PhDs, and will continue expansion in coming years. NNRCC has a >13,000 m2 state-of-art facility, including biotech laboratories, rodent and dog facilities. It is critically important to maintain the environmental, health and safety in NNRCC in accordance with Novo Nordisk global policies and local policies.

Job Title: Facility Operation Engineer

Immediate superior: Facility & Security Manager

Qualifications (minimum requirements):

More than 3 years of experience in facilities operations and maintenance
Good communication skills in both Chinese and English
Experienced in facility operation and utility systems
Experienced in working with external vendors
Quality driven and service oriented mind-set are required
Familiar with backup plan and facility emergency handling procedures
Professional experience:

Prior experience on facility operation in a research centre or a laboratory is preferred but not mandatory
Prior work experience in multi-national pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred but not mandatory
Education:
Bachelor Degree or above, major in electrics or mechanics or engineering
Key areas of responsibility:


Coordinate a facility maintenance team, to ensure the whole NNRCC building facility normally running.
Assist to manage the facility operation of comprehensive MEP system, including:
Air-conditioning & ventilation systems,
BMS, other facility monitoring & management system
Supply of steam, gas, electric & water,
plumbing & drainage,
Firefighting and related equipment
Work as contact point to coordinate all maintenance vendors’ work.
Work with EHS specialist to assure all facilities and equipment in compliance with firm policy and government regulation.
